Actor Akshay Kumar responded to the controversy surrounding his song Mahakal Chalo. A priest association objected to certain visuals in the song, calling them inappropriate.
During a press conference, Akshay addressed the concerns, saying, “Since childhood, my parents taught me that God is like our parents. So, if you hug your parents, what is wrong with that?” He added, “If my strength comes from my devotion, and someone misunderstands it, that is not my fault.”
Earlier, the association’s president commented that while the song itself was good, some visuals did not align with traditional rituals.
Recently, Akshay also visited Maha Kumbh and took a holy dip at the Sangam.
Meanwhile, Kannappa, which also features Vishnu Manchu, is set to release on April 25, 2025. Kajal Aggarwal will play the role of Parvati Devi in the film.
